CRUE'S Carnival of Sins
The world's most notorious rock band Mötley
Crüe staged a remarkable comeback in 2005, hot on the heels of their
best-selling autobiography The Dirt. Their comeback world tour, named
Red, White & Crüe Tour 2005...Better Live Than Dead and then
Carnival of
Sins, took place under a huge big-top set with every element of the show
having a three-ring circus theme applied to it.
The Crue's favorite little person Mighty
Mike performed in each of their 182 shows across 14 countries from 17
February 2005 until 13 April 2006, taking in three North American legs,
a European leg, plus Japan and Australia. It was the sixth
highest-grossing tour of the first half of 2005, before finishing the
year in the top twenty.
The Motley midget Mighty Mike opened each
performance wearing a massively-oversized clown mask and hands, while
jumping around the stage building the crowd's excitement. Resuming after
interval, dwarf entertainer Mighty Mike rode a mini-chopper motorcycle on stage in
full leathers before clowns chased him off as the band members rode their
full-size choppers on stage. Further into the concert, Mighty Mike arrived on stage behind the leash of a sexy female dancer,
as her attraction. As she handed a
guitar to lead singer Vince Neil, Mighty performed a varied range of
sex-inspired comedy antics from night to night, including humping her legs.
As Tommy Lee and his infamous Tit-E cam
displayed female flashers in the audience on the large video screens
each night, Mighty Mike appeared on stage in a dwarf costume spoof.
Frequently born from the ideas of Mick Mars, the rest of the band would
usually be unaware what Mighty would wear on stage next. Costumes
included a cupid on Valentine's Day, a kangaroo in Australia, a hula
girl in Hawaii, a midget sumo wrestler in Japan, a human piñata in
Mexico, even a mini version of his guitar hero Mick Mars (who
incidentally bought him his first guitar and taught him to play it).
 Joining
the entire cast of performers on stage for the encore, the little
ringmaster Mighty Mike then showcased his skills of
juggling, unicycling
and fire breathing as the band played Anarchy in the UK. At the end of
the song, the singer’s microphone was smashed into midget rocker Mighty Mike’s top hat
multiple times, before taking a final bow to the crowd to close out each
Motley Crue show.
After many of the
shows, Mighty would travel to after-parties in nightclubs where Tommy Lee would
perform a DJ set. Dressed as a Little Person Superman, Mighty would whip the
audience into a frenzy and dance wildly with them. This inspired him to become
DJ Mighty and tour with Britney Spears as her DJ.
Mighty Mike also assisted concert promotions
with television appearances, including piggy-backing Tommy Lee onto the
set of
Regis & Kathy for an interview the morning of the band's sold-out
show at the famous Madison Square Gardens in NYC. Midget entertainer Mighty Mike also
features prominently in the live and behind-the-scenes footage on the
band's multi-platinum selling

A highlight of the
tour for Mighty Mike was performing with Mötley Crüe as they opened for the
Rolling Stones in Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon - a tremendous
experience for a little person performer.
Motley Crue has sold more than 80 million
albums worldwide and epitomise the sex, drugs and rock'n'roll lifestyle.
Many critics and fans hailed this tour as their best-ever; the tour that
established Mighty Mike as the entertainment industry's only dwarf to
have undertaken a world tour.
